Reviews

Michelle has stylishly tackled an extraordinarily difficult subject in a clear, concise and inspiring manner. Her words – ‘make sure whatever is left behind was left with love and forethought’ – put you in the right head space, and her humour adds the crucial layer of humanity. We all must leave this mortal coil. Doing so after getting your shit together first is the cool way to go.

A little book with heavyweight practical advice about the stuff no one wants to talk about: wills, funerals and all the uncomfortable but necessary conversations in between. Like who gets the parrot when you die (because apparently they live forever). Michelle Unsworth-Foote effectively uses both candor and humour to tackle tough topics. All worth considering – and discussing with our loved ones - so we can make things easier on the family and friends we’ll eventually leave behind. I particularly appreciated the short and snappy ‘10-second read’ at the end of each chapter. Now, time to get my shit together...
